Dr. Kempton Freeman is an educator, football coach, mentor, author, and community advocate originally from North St. Louis, Missouri. He holds a Doctorate in Education and has spent more than a decade supporting young scholars and student-athletes in their academic, personal, and social development. Known to many as “Coach K,” he is committed to creating spaces where all students, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, identity, or background, feel seen, heard, supported, and held accountable.

As a Black man working in education, Dr. Freeman also brings a firsthand lived experience that helps him connect authentically with students, particularly young Black men who may see parts of their own experiences reflected in his journey. He uses those experiences to strengthen relationships, mentorship, and student growth while remaining committed to serving every student who enters his space. Above all his professional accomplishments, his most cherished title is father. He currently resides and works in Wisconsin.
